“Brew & Haiku” Virtual Workshop
For multiple disciplines, Dr. Peterson offers a virtual introductory Haiku workshop aimed at sharing your favorite “brew” (beer? wine? tea? other?) while learning some basic Narrative Medicine concepts, taking a moment for mindfulness and well-being, and creating your own Haiku! A great and easy way to take a moment for yourself, tap into some art and creativity, and meet a few new people!
Offered regularly throughout the year, our next workshop will be:
January 22, 2026 — 6pm MST. To register, visit our “store” and select the "Brew-Haiku” package. Only $20!

A physician friend of mine once told me it infuriated her when people told her to ‘just breathe…”
She is, in fact, a skilled pulmonologist.
And very good at breathing.
Robust evidence shows that creativity and the arts significantly impact wellness and reduce burn-out, especially for clinicians and those in medical fields.
These studies also demonstrate how exposure to the arts and narrative medicine techniques can help clinicians to improve empathy and understanding - towards both patients and themselves.
